Estrella War 2007

For those unfamiliar with the SCA, the largest events are called the wars. Sometimes there are designated sides in the war, and sometimes not. Estrella war is the second largest event in the SCA, with an attnedance this year of 7400 people. This sides were the Kingdom of Atenveldt and thier allies against the Kingdom of Caid and our allies. We took a week off and camped in the Arizona desert just outside of Phoenix for a great time and a great party.

This year we camped with the Barony of Altavia - a group of really great people! In the pictures, you'll see a group wearing the green, white, and black colors (and one pic with me wearing it). That is the Altavian fighting unit. You will usually see me wearing blue with a picture of a battered tower - the symbol of CRAC, which is the artillary unit I fight with.

In the photo of the siege weapons, some are ours and some were Atenveldt's. We had a ballista, a catapult, and a trebuchet in use.

In the battle photos, look for a spear sticking up that's taped to look like a coral snake (red, black, and yellow), near the right side. That's me.
